Tech Brief 06: Runway & Dockside Testing of EW Receivers
MRSE-5000-PETS Dockside Testing of Radar Warning Receivers (RWRs)
Rapid testing of Radar Warning Receivers (RWRs), Electronic Support Measures (ESM), Electronic Attack (EA) and other Electronic Warfare (EW) receivers in aircrafts, ships, ground vehicles and other platforms is becoming increasingly important as the use of EW systems proliferate across all platforms. The challenge is to have a low-cost and portable solution that is also capable of radiating enough power towards the target (antennas of System Under Test (SUT)) to test receivers of wide-ranging sensitivities. It is not just a ‘go/no-go’ test, operational readiness requires the systems be tested with realistic threat environments. The PETS system can also be used for certification.
