D-TA has been involved in the development and deployment of HF Over-The-Horizon Radar (OTHR) for long range radar surveillance since 2011. Sky wave OTHR uses ionospheric reflections undergone by the HF (3 to 30 MHz) signals to detect fast moving targets thousands of miles away. Surface wave HF OTHR is an effective way to implement harbour security and surveillance of a country’s Exclusive Economic Zone.

D-TA’s high performance HF product line is ideally suited for these applications. D-TA has delivered several very large HF radar systems (over 1000 Rx and 200 Tx channels) for deployment in the arctic and other sites.
